The Technical College System of Georgia recently conducted an Accreditation Review at the Greene College and Career Academy. At the conclusion of the detailed review, the administration, faculty, and students celebrated receiving a PERFECT score.

These intense accreditation reviews are held every five years across the state of Georgia, inspecting Georgia College and Career academies by the Technical College System of Georgia.

After measuring procedures, policies and actions against required standards. GCCA received the highest mark for all standards and received tremendous commendations for the following:

Culture:

  1. Establishing a student centered environment that promotes collaboration among staff, high expectations and respect among students, and support for all students including special populations.

  2. Supporting special populations in CTAE through CTI

  3. Supporting student success in multiple CTSOs.

Enthusiastic engagement among stakeholders to include career coaches, scholarships, Dave Dollars, etc.

Leadership:

  1. Commends the CEO John Ellenberg, and leadership team for demonstrating servant leadership, providing support, innovative ideas, and partnership development throughout the state.

  2. Commands workforce development, career and technical education, expanding pathways and supporting staff.

  3. Commends the partnership with the Thillen Education Foundation.

A few suggestions were presented to the CCA administration to enhance the curriculums already offered to students.

The GCCA is available for all Greene County students.

The Greene College and Career Academy administration, GCCA Board, Greene County Board of Education, GCSS Superintendent Dr. Chris Houston, faculty, staff and most importantly students are to be commended for this extraordinary achievement.

Congratulations!!
